If you are trapping in a place that requires rubber jaw traps this is the one to use. I swear by these. I had one freeze up last year and not fire. It was -12 out and the ice that built up in the bed froze solid. These are awesome traps and well worth the money.
I used these exact traps from these guys last season. It was an amazing trap, no issues. They all fired perfectly every time.
These are great. I used mine right out of the box, did not have to mess with it. Worked great, no coyotes got off.
Been doing some research on rubber jawed traps. Have some others & wanted to compare them with all I've been hearing about this 550.. Upon taking it out of the box, the heft and craftsmanship was immediate & obvious.. The trap is very smooth & fast when fired. Base plate is very strong & attached by 3 heavy duty bolts. This will be my go too trap, I'm very impressed. Nite latch on dog is filed a little crooked & not crisp but I usually do all of mine out of the box. Some of the 550's I will be adding a expand a pan & checking ratios. Only reason I gave it a 4 is because I havent used them on the line YET. Cant wait for the season
