Bridger #5 Long Spring Trap Setter

I am now 74 and relying on products like this to keep trapping.

Purchased this setting tool to compress the springs on my Bridger #5 long spring foothold traps. Should have bought one years ago. Can’t go wrong for the $$ spent on this safety tool.

Works on my #5 Duke long spring, but the gaps on the latch and clip are too wide for my #5 Bridgers.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I am using it for #4 double long springs. The clip is too large for the #4s, so I use a small pair of vise-grips to hold the first spring down while I move the setter to the second spring. The setter works extremely well and is a great product.

Compact and light enough to carry into hard to get to beaver locations. Great price and simple to use.
